The Bourbon Trail

  • The first place I visited, in November of 2016 was right on the way to our Lake house. I visited with Jon's sister and her husband from Oregon. Four Roses is a beautiful place. Four Roses   I have to admit that I have stopped there and will continue to stop there on the way to the lake. Their Single Barrel  being my favorite. I am adding barrel tops to our lake house and really want to get an original rustic looking one from Four Roses. Soon, I will.

At 55

At 55, I retired from teaching.  I taught for 34 years and decided to do my own adult field trips now.  If you look at my Belted Galloway Travel Blog, you will see how my husband and I spent the first three years of retirement.
I am an avid hiker, kayaker, swimmer, and biker.  I am enjoying every moment in my life.   The following are a few pics to let you see what I love.

Hiking
Kayaking

Biking

Exploring caves

Fishing

I am happily married, 33 years, have two amazing adult, married children and two beautiful grand daughters that I can't wait to take camping.

Right now I am doing the history and enjoying the fringe benifits of th Kentucky Bourbon Trail. Yum!  The picture below is of Wild Turkey and the Master Distiller, Jimmy Russell, for 60 years and myself. I loved it that he is active in the business

He is a Rare Breed, as we all are when we get to enjoy our passions in life again.
